Fayette County 4-H, Jr. FFA Compete in Food Challenge

Several Fayette County 4-H and Jr. FFA teams competed in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Food Challenge Contest on Tuesday, March 15.

In the Senior Division, 2 Hot 2 Handle placed second in the Healthy Dessert Category. Team members consisted of Cash Smith, Mackenzie Poncik, Harper Mau, and Cooper Mau.

In the Junior Division, Crea tive Cooks placed first in the Healthy Dessert Category and were the second Place Overall Junior Team. Team members consisted of Tori Newton, Elena Supak, and Eleanor Carey.

Simmer Down was first in the Side Dish Category and fourth overall. Team members were Logan Poncik, Sawyer Mau, Allyson Kibby, and Tatum Fritsch.

Country Cooks competed in the Side Dish Category and placed fifth. Team members were Kooper Kirts, Rebekah Sacks, Madison Markwardt, and Summer Dooley.

Shaker Bakers competed in the Main Dish Category and placed fourth. Team members consisted of MacKayla Griffin, Hailey Janish, Kandon Kaspar, and Scotti Beseda.
