Faith Lutheran Christmas Concert Dec. 13

Faith Lutheran High School will present a Christmas concert, “Faith at Christmas” on Tuesday Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at FLHS. The program will include a collection of choir pieces, handbell pieces, hymns, scripture readings and more. Refreshments will be served following the program. Everyone is invited to attend. The event will also be live streamed on Facebook for those who prefer to enjoy the sounds of Christmas from home.

Spring Raffle

The Faith Lutheran High School Spring Raffle is just around the corner. The Board of Directors is currently looking for valuable items or monetary donations to be used in the raffle. Please contact Nikki Kueck at (979) 242-2889 if you would like to donate something.

Christmas at Tejas

Tejas Camp and Retreat Center off County Road 219 becomes a magical wonderland each Christmas, as they celebrate Jesus’ birth. They have several “Stay and Play” packages, available Dec. 16-20, that include all the activities plus an overnight stay at one of their private cabins. You can also come for just one night. This year the camp is open Friday-Sunday Dec. 9-11 from 5:30-10 p.m. for nightly entrances. You can book your package, or reserve your ticket for the nightly entrances by going to www.mytejas.org and click the “getaway” tab at the top.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

The Wednesday Night Bible Study Group will begin a new study starting Jan. 4. This will be an 11- week course that will take your through the entire Old Testament book of Judges. You are invited to come and learn more about the faithfulness of God, despite the forgetfulness of His people. You will learn from some of the more well-known judges, like Deborah, Gideon and Samson, as well as some you may not be as familiar with, such as Othniel, Ehud and Jephthah. There is no cost to join. Recycle Trailer

The recycle trailer is in Warda at the storage units and the local Trail Life Group collects aluminum cans at the Holy Cross picnic grounds. There is a wire bin at the picnic grounds for you to put your cans in, the boys greatly appreciate your support. The money they collect from the cans goes towards projects.

Holy Cross Services

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

A series of Advent Meditations will be held on Wednesdays, Nov. 30-Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. These services will be a deep and meaningful reflection of the events surrounding the incarnation and birth of Jesus from the perspectives of Zechariah, Elizabeth, Joseph and Mary and will provide a new view into the lives and significance of these individuals.

Children’s Christmas Eve Service is Saturday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. Christmas Day Worship is Sunday, Dec. 25 at 9 a.m. New Year’s Eve Worship is Saturday, Dec. 31 at 7 p.m.
