This year’s fair is dedicated to the memory of volunteer Marty Neuman.

The Fayette County Fair Association dedicates the 96th Fayette County Fair to Marty (Prince) Neuman. She was one in a million, and we miss her.

Those of us who had the privilege of knowing Marty, can testify to the fact that she was loyal, dedicated, and dependable, but most of all, creative and hard working.

If you needed her help, she complied without a complaint. For over 30 yrs., she organized and ran the Country Store. She and her husband Dennis spent weeks preparing for the Country Store. Purple was her color, which showed up in her attention to details and generating overall appearance of the Country Store. She and Dennis could be seen working late the night before opening day of the fair, because everything had to be “perfect”. She was “fun loving” and truly enjoyed life.

She also helped during “The Best Cowboy Gathering”, MS-150, and the Creative Arts Department.
