Emancipation Day Proclaimed

Fayette County Commissioners signed a proclamation designating June 19 as Emancipation Day in Fayette County. On hand for the signing was Verlia Mosley Rhodes, organizer of a local Juneteenth Celebration that will take place June 8 on the Courthouse Square.
