Ellinger VFD Annual Fundraiser Sunday

The Ellinger Volunteer Fire Department will have the annual feast on Sunday, April 28 at the chamber hall. Serving of BBQ chicken and sausage plates for $15 will start at 11 a.m. with a drive through starting at 10:30 a.m. BBQ chickens will be sold from the pits at $12 each. The bake sale will start at 10 a.m. and the bar will be open for refreshments. The auction will begin at 1 p.m. Proceeds will go towards new equipment.

Shared Lutheran Ministry St. John in Ellinger will hold the annual hot dog and bake sale on Saturday, May 11 at the church fellowship hall. The bake sale will be a free will donation and begins at 9:30 a.m.

St. John in Rutersville will hold a fried fish fundraiser on May 11 at 5 p.m. on the church grounds. Dine in plates are encouraged and will be a free will donation. Some to go plates will be available. There will be games and fellowship.

Dancing Under the Stars Dancing Under the Stars to benefit Lutherhill will be held at the Rutersville Hermann Sons Hall in Rutersville on July 20. A live and silent auction will be held and Shared Lutheran Ministry members are asked to bring a dessert.

Installation Service 

Installation of Pastor Jen will be held on June 2 at 4 p.m. at St. John in Rutersville. After the service, there will be a meal. More details to come.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Ellinger C of C 

The Chamber will host Bingo on Saturday, May 4.
