Downtown LG Getting a Liquid Jolt

Downtown La Grange will get a little more night life starting this weekend. A new lounge, Mac’s Daqs, will hold its grand opening this Saturday inside the old Brasher Chevrolet showroom at 108 W. Colorado St.

The grand opening celebration will start at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19.

The owners, Mac Brooks and Kelsey Parchman, converted the space into a daiquiri lounge that offers several flavors of daiquiris, cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine, jello shots and more.

“It’s an open lounge, a really nice place to hang out,” Parchman said. “We want to have some fun nights in the future, like live music, comedy nights and game nights. We want to do seasonal drinks around the holidays. We’ll keep the menu fresh.”

The business will be open daily: Monday-Thursday from noon to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.

“We’ll have beer and wine, everyone’s local favorites, and we want to work with breweries to bring in keg beers and specialty beers to go along with the different seasons,” Parchman said. “Same with the wine – we want to bring in some of the great wines made in the community and offer it at our location.”

In the future, Parchman said, patrons will also be able to order daiquiris online for pickup at the company’s website: macsdaqs. com.
