Dispute Turns Into Car Accident

A domestic dispute turned into a car crash in Schulenburg Wendesday evening, Feb. 21.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. According to a report from the Schulenburg Police Department, a male and a female had gotten into an argument. The female drove away in a Ford Edge. The male tried to stop her, but before he could do so, the female crashed into a tree at the corner of James Avenue and South St.

Both parties suffered injuries. Fayette County EMS transported the female to Lavaca Medical Center in Hallettsville. The male was taken to Memorial Herman Hospital in Katy.

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek said an investigation is ongoing and charges are pending at this time.
