CVQG Holds Quilts of Valor Workshop

The hall quickly filled up with a sea of red, white and blue fabrics. The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild “Quilts of Valor” workshop was in full swing on Wednesday. There were 21 guild members in attendance and everyone brought sewing machines, irons, boards, rotary cutters, misc.

Seventy-five percent of the Guild’s “Quilt of Valor” quilts are given back to the Veterans in Fayette and Colorado Counties. Twenty-five percent go to special requests outside these two counties. CVQG presented 14 QOV quilts last year and 21 this year and the Guild had 15 more at various stages in the quilt process today. The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 East Pearl Street, Room A East, LaGrange, TX 78945. Guild meetings begin at 6 pm on even months and 10:00 am on odd months.
