Cowboy Church Hosting Christain Country Music

The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is hosting an exciting event on Sunday, July 30 beginning at 10 a.m. They are hosting the Christian Country Music duo of John and Lynn Anderson. The couple will be bringing their story of what God has done in the lives of this sweetheart couple along with some really great country music.

Following the morning praise and worship the SG2C will host a pot luck meal. Everyone is invited to bring along their favorite dish or two to share with everyone for lunch. Come enjoy some great music and testimony and stay for the meal. There are some great cooks out in the woods and here is a great chance to come and sample some of the wonderful food and enjoy the wonderful fellowship of these hard working people. It’s always a fun event when the SG2C hosts anything with food and good Christian fellowship.

Do not hesitate to come and check this Bible believing church out if you are in the area.

Out and About

John and Debra Schwartzenburg have been busy with their grandkids for the past few weeks as Addie and Ollie Mitchell and their mom Michelle Mitchell came in to spend some time out on the family land. They were joined by Tommy Mitchell for the last week of their visit. The Mitchells have been living in Connecticut, but are in the process of moving to Fort Collins, Colorado. The extended family took time out to go and explore Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop where the kids got to go horseback riding and play in some neat play areas.

Train Derailment

The talk of the Muldoon area for the past week has been the trail derailment. Numerous cars hopped the tracks and caused a lot of damage. The damaged starts around the Buckner Creek area and the Scurves on FM 154 and continues on into Muldoon where the cars actually came off the tracks at the start of the north end of the siding intersection.

Train crews, subcontractors and just loads of workers have been working around the clock to get the tracks back in working order. Crossing repairs are/have been made on FM 154 north of Muldoon in the S-curve, Bolton Creek Rd., and the crossing at Kerr St. across from the Muldoon Mercantile was totally replaced due to the very heavy damage.

All crossings for a short time were closed immediately after the wreck, but the major crossing of FM 2237 was reopened as quickly as possible. Many locals were taking back roads to get around all the damage, but the bridge replacement at Busby Creek on Old Lockhart caused the trip around to be even longer for those who tried that route.

Please use caution when driving in the North Muldoon area with all the workers all along the tracks.
