Community Theatre Shines With ‘Harvey’

The Fayette County Community Theatre put on another stellar production over the weekend in front of big crowds and beautiful weather at the Sanford Schmidt Amphitheater in La Grange. The Pulitzer Prize winning play “Harvey” by Mary Chase was performed November 3, 4 and 5. This play showcases a mild-mannered Elwood P. Dowd, played by Brandon Theut, and his best friend Harvey who happens to be an invisible six foot tall rabbit. Members of his family try to have him committed to a sanitarium, however that proves to be easier said than done.
