Colorado Valley Donates to AMEN
The employees of Colorado Valley Communications (CVC) presented a $500 donation to the AMEN Food Pantry in La Grange on Monday, Aug. 22. Garry Schellberg, treasurer of AMEN, said the donation was especially helpful given the current economic downturn. Schellberg said donations of food from grocery stores have declined recently as grocers streamline operations to become more efficient. That has forced AMEN to rely more on monetary donations to purchase food for the pantry.
