Church Picnic Proceeds Benefit Holy Rosary
A portion of recent picnic proceeds from St. John’s Catholic Church in Fayetteville and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellinger have been donated to the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn rebuilding fund account at Fayette Savings Bank. The top picture shows a $10,000 donation from St. John’s and the bottom picture shows a $8,000 donation from St. Mary’s. This $18,000.00 donation has pushed the “matching side” of the campaign up to $87,000.
Pictured are (from left) Rodney Kalich-FSB Chief Financial Officer, Rev. Steve Sauser-Fayetteville and Ellinger Church pastor, Rev. Felix Twumasi-Hostyn Church pastor, Darlene Brothers-FSB Vice-President Deposit Services, Dustin Drab-FSB Assistant VP Lending.
Donations over $5,000 can be dedicated to the “matching side” where they are used to match regular donations from the public, enabling them to be doubled. Previous matching side donations were made by Fayette Savings Bank, Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Plum, KC Council 5157 and Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg, Ruby McGuill Ministries Concert, and an anonymous donor. Donations may be made at any of the four Fayette Savings Bank locations in La Grange, Flatonia, Schulenburg or Weimar. The Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church was totally destroyed by an explosion and fire the morning of June 9, 2022..
