Chlumsky Grandsons Claim State Wrestling Titles
Kathy and Frank Chlumsky are very proud of their grandsons. Connor and Hunter Dong competed in the State wrestling championship this weekend. Connor won D4 Rookie and Novice State Championship. Meanwhile Hunter won D3 Novice State and placed third in the Open competition.
Hostetter Passes
Long time beloved Muldoon resident Mike Hostetter passed away on Feb. 11. Arrangements for services for Mike are being arranged at the time of this writing. Details will be forthcoming as they are set up.
New Granddaughter
Devon Boehnke is once again a proud great grandpa. His granddaughter Jenny Zuhn and husband Aaron welcomed their third daughter, Margot Zuhn on Feb. 9. Margot is Devon’s tenth great grandchild. She weighed in at eight pounds, four ounces and measured twenty-two inches long. Margot is welcomed home by her two big sisters Charlotte and Delilah.
Celebrates Birthday
Pam Knotts is deep in her “month” of birthday celebrations. She and Ron celebrated early with a lunch at Babin’s, Pam’s favorite seafood restaurant. The next week was lunch at Sunken Gardens with friends Pam Sheffield and Anne Wright. That day was topped off with birthday cake from Trader Joe’s. (There seems to be a theme here involving food.) The next celebration was dinner at The Garden Company in Schulenburg with Pam’s brother and his wife, Ray and Christy Langenberg. That meal involved the Brussels sprout appetizer that the restaurant is famous for with key lime pie and bread pudding for dessert. All this within the first two weeks of the month. Wonder what other adventures they will discover.
Bible Study
Muldoon’s Gretchen Andrew is preparing to lead a Ladies’ Bible Study at Flatonia Baptist Church on the book of Esther beginning March 26 through April 23. The study will begin at 9:30 a.m. each Thursday morning and should finish up around 11:40 a.m. These sessions will be started with group discussions on the material followed by a video.
This study of Esther has two approaches. The first is an in-depth study with approximately three to four hours of homework per week. This study will dive a little deeper into the material. There also will be a second style of study available. It has a much lighter approach. The materials are more of an “in and out” style, but will cover the same materials in only about two hours of homework.
You can pick your style and join in this very interesting study. The materials will cost $15 and Gretchen will be ordering them. If you are interested in joining in or just have questions please text Gretchen at (713) 515-2875.
Out and About
Kathy and Frank Chlumsky made a Girl Scout cookie run to Austin on Friday. They got to spend some time with grandkids, Olivia and Marcus and returned home with a few boxes of Girl Scout cookies that Olivia was selling.
Nancie and Billie Blair traveled to Katy for their former Pastor Jim’s service. It was a beautiful service that was a very well attended. Then they met up with their daughter Teresa Holland and grandchildren Zoe and Spencer. Since they had not seen each other in a while they really had a lot of catching up to do.
Alayna Kidd came through Muldoon to pick me up, so I could help her with her booth selling Sterling Silver jewelry at the Houston Boat Show at the NRG Center. Alayna was coming in from Steamboat Springs, Colo. on her way to Houston.
