Celebrate at Artistic New Year in Schulenburg

Before you ring in the new year with your friends at midnight, Arts for Rural Texas (ARTS) invites you to close out 2022 with a grand celebration of the ARTs.

Throughout this holiday season, ARTS has celebrated regional creatives with its annual Holiday Shows. The shows, held at both the ARTS Ross Gallery in Fayetteville and ARTS Gorman Gallery in Schulenburg, feature original artwork of various media from local artists. They both opened to the public at the beginning of December, with the show at ARTS Ross Gallery closing on January 7th, 2023, and the Holiday Show at ARTS Gorman Gallery available for viewing until January 21, 2023.

While the ARTS Ross Gallery had its reception on December 10th as part of the Fayetteville Christmas Celebration, the artists’ reception for the ARTS Gorman Gallery will be a potluck- style community celebration this Saturday.

ARTS invites all to bring their favorite tasty treat to share this Saturday, on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m, at the celebration reception, which will also be celebrating the kick-off of its 20th Anniversary Year.

ARTS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that, each year, provides free art after school programs and fine art assemblies to over 4,000 youth in the region. Funds from ARTS’ exhibitions support these great programs in our communities.
