CattleWomen to Meet at Big Time Pizza And Ice Cream

The Navidad Valley CattleWomen (NVCW) is a nonprofit organization with the primary focus of beef promotion and education in South Central Texas.

The Navidad Valley local works to support local youth with scholarships and provide quality information on the industry and how to incorporate beef into a healthy diet. Additionally, they work to support the community with targeted outreach projects that include a beefy twist.

The next CattleWomen business meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 24, at Big Time Pizza & Ice Cream in Flatonia, 122 E. South Main St. The meeting will begin with Dutch treat lunch at 11:30 a.m.

Members are busy gearing up for their scholarship fundraiser, the 10th annual NVCW Ranch Run, which is held in conjunction with the Schulenburg Festival on Aug. 5. Registration is open at https://nvcattlewomenranchrun5k. itsyourrace.com/ event.aspx?id=15683.

Members will discuss their next beef education program, Beef For Father’s Day, and their beef promotion program which will involve donations of beef to regional food pantries.
