    Car Engulfed in Flames, No Injuries

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on that Saturday afternoon April 15 at 3:08 p.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a vehicle fire on I-10 near the 661 milemarker westbound. The Flatonia Fire Department was notified and responded along with Flatonia Police Officer Billy Kalina, and Deputy James Ulbig. Upon arrival it was reported a 2009 Toyota Scion passenger car was fully engulfed and the occupants were out of the vehicle. After arrival the Flatonia Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire was undetermined, and there were no reported injuries.
