Candidates Tangle in the First Forum of Busy Campaign Season

More than 100 people attended the Fayette County Republican Party Candidate Forum in Ellinger on Sunday, Jan. 18. First they heard from the three candidates for Pct. 2 Commissioner: Abe Pace, Chad Tiemann and incumbent Clint Sternadel. They are pictured below, in that order, having a conversation at the end of their portion of the forum. Later, four of the candidates for County Judge took the stage: Josh Homan, Josh Vandever, Michael Zweschper and William Bernsen. The fifth candidate, Craig Moreau, issued a statement Sunday explaining his absence and saying he was “excluded from the Ellinger Forum.” Look for more on this story in Friday’s paper.
