Candidate Announcements

As a service to our readers, folks seeking locally-elected offices in the upcoming city and school board elections are invited to submit one free candidacy announcement letting local voters know more about them and why they are running.

Please limit these to 300 words or less and we can also run a head shot picture of the candidate free with the announcements. Please email these announcements to editor Jeff Wick at jeff@fayette countyrecord.com.

We will only run these prior to early voting, which begins April 22 this year, so any announcements must be sent to us before April 16 to be run free. Anything after this free announcement must be paid political advertising.
