Brass Band From Czech Republic to Perform at TCHCC May 27
Wind music has a very long tradition at the Pardubice Conservatory. Since the school‘s founding, there has been wind music in different forms and has represented the school at many events in the region. In 2022, a band called Pardubicka Muzika under the leadership of Michal Chmelar, a trumpet player of the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchrestra Pardubice, was founded.
During its short history, Pardubicka Muzika made a concert tour to the USA, Germany, got a bronze medal at an international competition in Mühlbach, held concerts in the Senate of the Czech Republic and at the international festival Pardubice Music Spring. This year Pardubicka Muzika recorded its first CD. Pardubicka Muzika is happy to be supported by Pardubice Conservatory, City of Pardubice and the Pardubice Region.
As they tour across Texas, the Band will perform at the Sanford Schmid Amphitheater on the grounds of the Texas Czech Heritage & Cultural Center on Monday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m. TCHCC is located at 250 W. Fairgrounds Road in La Grange. The public is invited to enjoy an evening with the great sounds of this world renown orchestra!
