Blind Quilter to Give Presentation

Join the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. as they welcome guest presenter, Diane Rose, also known as the “Amazing Quilter.” Diane has been blind since 1984. She taught herself quilting in 1989 and has made over 1,100 quilts and sold quilts to Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and even President George W. Bush. Diane will demonstrate her quilting techniques and will have boutique items and notions for sale during her presentation. If you would like to make any purchases from her, please come prepared with either cash or a check. The Guild Meeting are held at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 East Pearl Street-Room A East, La Grange. The CVQG meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and 10 a.m. on odd months and meet the 4th Tuesday of every month.
