Blair Family Celebrates Christmas, Five Generations
Nancie and Billy Blair enjoyed a late Christmas celebration with Nancie’s mom Elaine Lang, daughter Heather Tillerson, granddaughter Valarie Schick, great granddaughter Cadence Holliday Schick, Nancie’s sister and brother in law Lu and Fred Ginapp. Lu had brought Elaine’s mom down for Christmas with the great-great-granddaughter. The family all got together at Robert’s Steakhouse in Flatonia for a great meal and lots of wonderful visiting. The five generations enjoyed taking a picture to mark the occasion.
Martin and Nancy Cherry took off recently to New Braunfels to meet up with Nancy’s sisters and their husbands to celebrate all the December and January birthdays and anniversaries. They enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Alpine Haus.
Out andAbout
Family Christmas was a little delayed for Ron and Pam Knotts, but they got it done recently with a road trip to Argle. This was a visit to see their grandson Troy and his parents, Derek and Anastasia Knotts. Ron and Pam are just now getting to spend time with the almost four-yearold due to two years of serious Covid restrictions. Troy was excited to see “Big Daddy and Big Mama”. The days were filled with opening presents, playing games and watching movies. Ron and Pam report there is nothing better than hearing those crazy kid giggles and getting lots of great big hugs.
Traffic
Traffic in the area has been fairly heavy at times recently. There is lots of construction traffic not only for the solar farms, but also for the other construction projects going on in the area. With all the traffic moving in and around the area everyone needs to be more aware of their surroundings when driving in the area. There also are farm vehicles that are putting out winter feed/hay for the animals in the area. These are slow moving vehicles and take time to make turns with all the weight. Please slow down and pay attention while driving through the area.
Weather
Muldoon has been experiencing warm weather for January. The mornings have been foggy and muggy. The fog clears with the sun breaking through and the days continue to warm on into the seventies. With all the warm weather some critters that normally are not active in January are out. One case in point are the snakes have been out, so be aware when out weeding, raking leaves and working outside.
The area also could use some rain. Even with the fog the conditions have been drying. The Muldoon area could use a really good rain all over the area.
