Beard and Mustache Competition Returns

Last year’s You Matter Beard and Mustache Competition raised $35,000 for the Health and Behavioral Wellness Council of Greater Colorado Valley. -
Winners of the You Matter 2 Beard and Mustache Competition will each receive a beautiful belt buckle.
The You Matter 2 beard and mustache competition takes place this Saturday, Jan. 21, at Casino Hall in La Grange.
The event benefits the Health and Behavioral Wellness Council of Greater Colorado Valley. The competition begins at noon on Saturday. The Health & Behavioral Wellness Council of Greater Colorado Valley’s mission is to bring together behavioral and medical health providers, along with social service agencies, school personnel, law enforcement and first responders, ministers and community leaders.
Prizes will be awarded in 14 categories: Craft Whisker Battle, Kids, Whiskerina Creative, Whiskerina Realistic, Freestyle, General Mustache, Full Beard with Styled Stache, Goatee, Whaler, Sideburns/Chops, Full Beard 0-4 inches, Full Beard 4-8 inches, Full Beard 8-12 inches and Full Beard over 12 inches.
There will also be a Best in Show Finale and a live auction, The Craft Whisker Battle starts at 1 p.m. with the competition following at 2 p.m.
A pre-party will take place at Post Oak Bar and Grill starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20. A farewell brunch will take place at Post Oak beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22.
