    Arrest Made in Flatonia After Vehicle Pursuit

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Thursday, Jan. 25 at around 2 p.m. the Fayette County Undercover Narcotics Unit attempted to stop a silver Chrysler 300 in the Flatonia area for a traffic infraction.

The vehicle failed to yield from investigators and a vehicle pursuit ensued. Narcotics were observed being physically thrown out of the window of the vehicle during the pursuit. The vehicle eventually came to a stop.

Alfredo Muniz, 35 of Flatonia, was arrested for felony charges of Tampering with Evidence and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Muniz was additionally charged with Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle. marijuana and methamphetamine were also located inside of the Chrysler 300.

Muniz was transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center and released to the jail staff without incident. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the Flatonia Police Department and Texas DPS for their assistance.
