Area Track and Field Athlete Named All-Region at Angelo State

Thirteen members of the Angelo State University Rams track and field team have earned NCAA Division II All-South Central Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their performances during the 2022 outdoor season.

The 13 Rams combined to earn 14 all-region honors, including two for Nicholas Ellisor of Coldspring (400 meters, 4x400 relay). Also being named all-region are Luis Alvarado of Laredo (javelin), Canon Andrews of Iraan (discus), Joshua Body of Abilene (triple jump), J. Cason Brown of Schulenburg (discus), Viktor Ertelt of San Angelo (javelin), Jacobee Jones of Rowlett (pole vault), Elvis Kryukov of Limassol, Cyprus, (decathlon), Kyle Lumpkins of Junction (decathlon), Bossman Pinkrah of Accra, Ghana, (4x400 relay), Romel Plummer of Kingston, Jamaica, (400-meter hurdles), Jonathan Ramirez of Andrews (4x400 relay) and Emmett Seals of Rowlett (4x400 relay).

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned all-region honors, along with each member of the top-3 relay teams.

The Rams finished third at the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships and 15th at the NCAA D-II Outdoor National Championships.
