Animal Shelter Offers Spay And Neuter Voucher Program

As of Nov. 18, total intake for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 1,296: 605 dogs and 691 cats in need.

As of Nov. 18, the shelter has 109 animals in care: 76 dogs and 33 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

Spay and neuter is the only way to manage the stray unwanted dog and cat population in Fayette County. The shelter offers a discount voucher program for the citizens of Fayette Comity for the spay/neuter of family pets.
