La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 7 .

Animal Complaint

On Dec. 1, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 1500 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for loose cows.

On Dec. 1, Animal Control Officer Leslie Yezakl was dispatched to the area of Bordovsky Road for a dog roaming the property in the rain and cold. Call was from outside city limits. However, the county had no one to dispatch to location so the city responded. Yezakl noticed a Husky sitting in a grassy area and she recognized the dog from receiving information and photos from the Retreat at Fayette Vet Clinic regarding this dog and it had traveled a far distance. Female dog was picked up and transported to the Retreat and owner notified.

On Dec. 2, Yezakl responded to the 400 block of S. Ellinger for dogs fighting chickens and ducks. Dogs are let out to roam and attack and killed ducks and chickens at complainants’ residence.

Assault

On Dec. 6, Officer Darrell Armstead was dispatched to the 1500 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for an assault. Accident

On Dec. 3, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 1500 block of N. Von Minden for a two-vehicle accident Civil Matter

On Dec. 5, Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Main for a civil matter.

Citizen Assist

On Dec. 6, Armstead was dispatched to the intersection of FM 609 and Hwy. 71 Business for citizen assist.

Disturbance

On Dec. 3, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for a disturbance. Officer found it was a child custody disagreement and parties were separated.

Fraud

On Dec. 4, Meinardus responded to the 1000 block of N. Sunset for report of fraud.

Loud Music

On Dec. 1, Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Colorado for loud music and persons.

On Dec. 6, Armstead was dispatched to the 100 block of Hope Avenue for loud music.

On Dec. 7, Armstead was dispatched to the 900 block of Pearl regarding loud music.

Suspicious Person

On Dec. 2, Haynie responded to the 900 block of N. Jackson regarding a suspicious person.

Trespassing

On Dec. 7, Armstead responded to the 500 block of E. Guadalupe for trespassing.

Theft

On Dec. 1, Haynie was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for theft.

Welfare Check

On Dec. 5, Officer Jose Garza conducted a welfare check in the 1000 block of N. Madison.
