AMEN Serves Over 200 Families During October

The AMEN Food Pantry served 294 families for the month of October for a total of 849 individuals. A total of 142 volunteers for 367 hours served the pantry. A total of 5,181 pounds of food was received as donations.

Donations can be brought on Monday mornings from 9 a.m. until noon or Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until noon. Monetary donations mail to P.O. Box 571, La Grange, Texas 78945, or dropped off at the Pantry.

AMEN is open every Thursday from 10 a.m. till noon with staff on location to receive donations. Drive to the side of the building to the garage door area. There will not be any food distribution on Thursday. If possible, bring your produce during this time and early Monday mornings, an ideal time is 8:30 a.m.

The mobile pantry at Waldeck served 98 households for a total of 249 individuals. A total of 24 volunteers with 7,250 pounds distributed. Any food not distributed is sent to AMEN. The pantry received a large amount of frozen food, bread products and pastries to distribute to pantry clients.

The holiday season is near. The need for food increases dramatically during this period. If your organization is holding a special food drive for the holiday season call (979) 968-3943 to arrange an alternate delivery time of product if the current receiving times does not work for you.
