AMEN Serves 144 More Families Than Last Year
AMEN continued to be busy in the month of June. A total of 291 families were served for the month which included 812 individuals. A total of 129 volunteers for 289 hours served the pantry. A total of 1,944 pounds of food were donated. The pantry served 144 more families versus prior year total to an increase of 355 individuals to prior year June. The impact of inflation has brought more individuals to require food.
AMEN will every Thursday from 10 a.m. till noon have staff on location to receive donations. Drive to the side of the building at the garage door area. There will not be any food distribution on Thursday. If possible, bring your produce during this time and early Monday mornings, an ideal time is 8:30 a.m.
Mobile pantry at Waldeck served ninety-five families for a total of 184 individuals. A total of 18 volunteers with 5,538 pounds distributed. The mobile pantry will continue to be a drive through format. The next distribution date is Saturday, July 16 at Waldeck.
