AMEN Served 266 Families in January
AMEN continued to be very busy in the month of January. 266 families were served for the month for a total of 746 individuals. A total of 145 volunteers for 385 hours served the pantry. A total of 2,407 pounds of food were donated.
The pantry is open for food distribution on Monday from 9 a.m. till noon. During this time food donations are accepted. The pantry is open on Thursday from 10 a.m. till noon for accepting donations only. If you require a special donation time, call (979) 9683943 and leave a message for scheduling.
The pantry recently purchased the 6th commercial freezer to handle additional frozen products.
Monetary donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 571 La Grange, Texas 78945, our physical address is not the location to send mail, the P.O. Box only.
Mobile pantry at Waldeck served 104 clients for a total of 248 individuals. A total of 24 volunteers with 4,392 pounds distributed.
The Waldeck food truck will have food distribution as a walk up method. Every client needs to bring their own sturdy reusable bags and boxes. A few wagons will be furnished by Central Texas Food Bank, if you have your own wagon please bring your wagon.
The Waldeck food truck is on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. The next distribution date is Feb.18. A reminder to all, AMEN is not responsible for the Waldeck food distribution, AMEN provides the volunteers only. This is a project of The Central Texas Food Bank.
