AgriLife Extension Offering Field to Fork Workshops

Due to clientele demand, the upcoming Texas Parks & Wildlife and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s educational series entitled “Field to Fork” has been rescheduled and revamped because of two of the game topics. This multi-county hunting and fishing endeavor which is being hosted by Austin, Colorado, Fayette, and Washington Counties has been reformatted as a two-part series. Each event will focus on harvesting, field dressing, processing, and safe food handling while preparing your wild game for the table.

In 2023, the workshops have been combined to focus on: Wild Hogs & Fish-April 21, Fayette County Ag Building, La Grange.

White-tailed Deer & Waterfowl- Oct. 20, Austin County Methodist Activity Center, Bellville.

The Master of Ceremony for each session will be one of our country’s most recognized wildlife biologists, author, and respected outdoor personality, Mr. Larry Weishuhn. Sessions will begin at 5 p.m. and will conclude at 8 p.m. Registration is $40 per session or $70 for the series.

Each session will include processing demonstrations, Chef prepared food demonstrations, a delicious meal featuring the featured species, and much, much more. To sweeten the opportunity, each paid registrant will automatically have their name entered into a drawing for fantastic door prizes at each paid session. Tell a friend and register today by going to https://forms. office.com/r/5ubTaQGLxS or by calling the Fayette County Extension Office at (979) 9685831. Credit card payments will be accepted.
