Abbey Kay Weyand of La Grange, Texas received the Dean’s Honor Award from The College of Engineering at Texas A&M University. This award is for Outstanding Academic Achievement for the 2022 Fall semester. Abbey is the daughter of David & Sandra Weyand of La Grange and is majoring in Interdisciplinary Engineering with a double minor in Computer Science and Cybersecurity. She is a cofounder of IDEA (Interdisciplinary Engineering Association) and a cohort II member of Texas A&M’s DCLCP (Defense Cyber Leadership Development Program), an NSA-backed organization centered around providing cybersecurity students with experience and certifications while achieving their degrees.
