4-H Competes in Food Challenge

Fayette County 4-H members competed in the San Antonio Livestock Show Food Challenge Contest on Thursday, Feb. 8, at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

This year was the largest San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Food Challenge Contest to date with over 100 participants.

Tori Newton placed 1st in Senior Side Dish Category and advanced to the Final Round where she placed 3rd overall. Cooper Mau placed 1st in the Senior Healthy Dessert Category and advanced to the Final Round where he placed 4th overall.

In the Junior Division, Tatum Fritsch placed 2nd in the Side Dish Category. Tate Fritsch placed 2nd in the Healthy Dessert Category. Taylyn Newton placed 2nd in the Appetizer Category. Hailey Janish placed 5th in the Main Dish Category.
