Standing Firm and Loving Well

Everywhere you look today, it seems like people are being told to take sides. The message is loud and clear: you can either stand firm in what you believe, or you can love people well—but you can’t do both. That tension has divided communities, families, and even churches. But the life of Jesus shows us a better way.

True Leader Needed

To the Editor: It never seems to fail that whoever is elected to the White House their picks for positions in the administration are ridiculed. Some deserve the recognition of being less than favorable and others pillars for all of us to rally around.

Finding a Friend

I have always found making a new friend harder than I think it should be. It’s not that I haven’t had friends. I’ve had four or five whom I would think of as best friends at the time I knew them. Four of them have died since then.
