Thanks to Physicians for Stepping Up

To the Editor: I would like to thank the three local physicians for stepping into the leadership void around the pandemic created by the absence of our county and school leaders, whose continued silence on the vaccine and masks speaks volumes. Doing the right thing is seldom doing the easy thing.

No to Golf Carts on City Streets

To the Editor: In Friday’s paper on the front page of the Fayette County Record, I read that city council member Dusty Littrell wants to drive his golf cart on city streets of La Grange. May I offer this protest for that proposal? May I further suggest the council spend their time on something more important than the personal desire of individual members? Surely there are much more pressing items to be considered.

I was quite busy last week and took Thursday off as a “MY” Day. I vowed not to clean, cook or write and, since I had nothing really pressing to do, I settled into my living room recliner to treat myself to a movie. You see, I do not care for daytime television except for morning news and Jeopardy!
