Citizen Unfairly Vilified

To the Editor: I was deeply disturbed to learn that William Bernsen was publicly vilified in open court during last week’s commissioners court meeting. As was reported in detail in this paper and told to me by more than one person, Commissioner Drew Brossmann spent an inordinate amount of time ranting about Mr.

Hospital at a Crossroad

To the Editor: I’d like to commend the FCR for bringing to us the complex, evolving saga of St Mark’s Hospital (SMMC), with the efforts to keep it going and the recent attempts to rebuild and reorganize. I also thank Sam Wilson and members of the newly formed HCOE group, for the extended and enlightening series that appeared in the paper, recounting the story of the hospital from its inception through the ongoing efforts to restructure the hospital to serve out-patient care.

Daddy’s Quips

In every family, every high school class, every club membership list, there is a wise guy, someone always ready with a quip that makes others laugh. This person finds a humorous way to poke fun in many social situations that are somewhat awkward. Though irreverent, I am sure much of our humor could even make the Creator smile at our silliness at times.

Families

That Little Voice Families are confusing and mysterious, each member housing different memories, hidden secrets, unexplored desires, and shared experiences with conflicting reactions. I’m assuming this is typical of all households, since my family fits that description.
