We’re Not Alike
To the Editor:
To Ms. Watt’s letter in the FCR 03/21/25. Typical Democrat talking points letter, same song, different verse. Quite frankly, the statement “…I didn’t choose Trump because the other candidates more closely aligned with my value system,” solidifies her as a liberal Democrat.
I am a Christian as well. But saying one is a Christian and then blatantly saying, believing, defending, or doing things that directly go against the Bible is hypocrisy. Let me be clear, I don’t care in the least how people live their lives as we will all face God in the end. That being said, I don’t have to agree with or accept anyone’s behavior, lifestyle, or who they think they are. Their right to do anything ends at the tip of my nose as my mom used to say.
Democrats have no values. Here’s what the Democratic Party believes in…boys in girls’ sports, locker rooms, and bathrooms; same-sex marriage, abortion; open borders allowing illegal aliens in to murder, rape, and steal tax payer money; spending billions of taxpayer dollars on illegal aliens while ignoring veterans and the homeless; hating anyone who doesn’t support LGBTQ+ and transexuals; genital mutilation of children; transvestites reading to children; sexually explicit books in school libraries; screaming, hating and calling for attacks on anyone who disagrees with them, I could go on and on. As I’ve mentioned in other letters, I don’t believe God makes mistakes. Please tell us how any of the above aligns with God’s word.
I made a number of points of fact in my letter about the Democrats not working with President Trump to get America back on track and helping President Trump move the country forward. Democrats are great at pointing out what they perceive as Republican issues and what Republicans are doing wrong. They have shown no desire to sit down and work for the American people. Democrats only ability, which they show over and over again, is whining about all the things they don’t like, but never providing any other solutions or alternatives.
My responses to some items in Ms. Watt’s letter.
Cutting waste…Other presidents had the opportunity to cut waste. President Obama said cutting waste was necessary and would be painful. They did nothing. We are trillions in debt, it’s time to take a sledgehammer to government waste and spending. The can’s been kicked down the road long enough.
Democrats always talk about billionaires paying their fair share. Just exactly what is their fair share? No Democrat has ever provided a percentage or a number. Here’s some information from theTax Foundation as of November 7, 2024, entitled “The Super Rich Pay Super Amounts of Taxes, New Treasury Report Finds.” A common refrain from many progressive lawmakers is that the rich don’t pay their fair share of taxes.
“Fair share” is, of course, subjective. But a new Treasury study provides data showing that the rich not only pay more than the middle class, they pay more than one-third of their annual income in federal taxes and more than 45 percent when state and local taxes are included. Indeed, the total tax burden on the super-wealthy, especially those with large stakes in global businesses, is upwards of 60 percent of their annual income because of the taxes they pay abroad.” As a side note, most billionaires in this country that own businesses employ millions of Americans. Also, this is America…any American can work hard, build their own business, and make as much money as they want.
Tesla Torching Democrats… While Tesla wasn’t an item mentioned, it’s just another example of Democrat hate and destruction. The Democratic party is firmly behind the threats to Elon Musk to be “taken out.” Your party is openly threatening an American citizen with death. The man who employs millions of Americans. I hear no criticism or push back on the Democrats for encouraging the hate and destruction. It’s funny that Elon Musk was a favorite of the Democrats and their green energy boondoggle until he switched teams. Now the Democrats don’t care about green energy anymore and hate him. Although it is funny that Tesla shares are probably in every stock portfolio for a large number of Americans. The stock, in the millions, are in many state and government pension plans and other retirement plans but people are protesting and calling for the destruction of Tesla plants and showrooms, burning Teslas on the street. Which does what…causes the stock prices to fall. So, people are causing their own stock portfolios to lose money. It shows just how stupid people are. Oh, and he brought home the two astronauts that Biden left to rot in space.
Trump’s untruths…so you think that Democrats lying is OK, but if you perceive President Trump is lying, that’s not OK. How hypocritical.
Trump blamed Harris… “Proposition 47 has been a disaster for California. By downgrading certain crimes (certain drug crimes and thefts under $950) so that they are no longer felonies, it set off a shoplifting and drug surge. By also eliminating DNA testing for criminals of these now less-than-felonies, it has also blocked police from determining whether these criminals are linked to DNAevidence in more serious crimes. Proposition 47 was passed in 2014. Although Kamala Harris was California’s attorney general, and her office wrote the initiative’s title and ballot language, she took no position on it, even though it was squarely within her purview as the state’s top law enforcement official.” She could have done something about it but as usual she did nothing. So, it is true that crimes and thefts under $950 are no longer felonies and are misdemeanors which means their punishments are either no or short jail time and little or no fines. This applies to both first-time offenders and frequent offenders. Couldn’t find any information on the calculator issue but, if I were a thief I’d take a calculator to make sure I stayed under the $950. And businesses still operate in California. Why is it that Democrats never do any research before they throw out accusations. I found information on this topic in about two minutes.
Do I agree with everything President Trump is doing… nope. Do I think he’s a much better choice than any Democrat… absolutely. Democrats prove every time they speak that they don’t care what the American people want, which is why they lost the House, Senate, and the White House. It’s very easy to complain about something; it’s much more difficult to offer solutions. Ms. Watts had a perfect opportunity to respond to the points made with what Democrats plan to do. Or even present any Democratic position/solution on any topic. Instead, her letter just states what President Trump is doing that she doesn’t like.
As most anyone who knows me will tell you, I have no problem putting my thoughts and facts out there for all to see. I couldn’t care less what people think of me or my political position. Spare me the “Oh I might get harassed for my opinion.” Democrats harass, intimidate, threaten violence against Republicans/Conservatives all the time. Doesn’t stop us from speaking the truth.
So, to your statement about me meeting with you because you don’t want to be harassed.… not interested. I have a very low tolerance for people who just whine and complain about President Trump. I can assure you, Ms. Watts, we are nothing alike.
