An Update From Teresa

To the Editor:

As your community activist, I am reporting to you that I have met with our new city manager “JT,” and I am very hopeful that he can actually get something done about our horrible drainage problem. However, I would recommend him doing things differently.

He is willing to seek advice from the City of Brenham and BefCo engineering. I think all we have to do is clean the drains out and let water run freely.

JT is also looking into ways to finance the expenditure of fixing the drainage. In my opinion, since La Grange is the county seat for Fayette County, some of the grants that the County is receiving should be used for fixing the drainage. I still recommend my ideas of city council members babysitting, pet care, elder care, and yard maintenance for revenue. Mayor Dockery shut down my idea of drive through meals and a gambling extravaganza to Lake Charles.

We must all pray that the Holy Spirit enlightens all city council members to solve this problem for La Grange.
