Trump Not the Christian Candidate
To the Editor:
In response Frank Cernosek’s letter from Feb. 23: It has been a while since I have responded to a letter in the Letter to the Editor section, but I felt that after Frank and I seemed to agree on something, it was worth celebrating. While I’m not necessarily a religious man, I do find myself agreeing with Frank on voting the Bible in the apparent presidential race shaping up for ‘24.
On one side, there’s a thrice divorced man (possibly soon to be quadri-divorced after apparently shagging a porn star while his current wife was pregnant with their son). One who embodies greed, gluttony, pride, sloth, envy, wrath, and lust and who takes advantage of those beneath him. A man who staged over 30,000 verifiable public lies in his 4 year tenure as President and who continues to lie just about every time he opens his mouth. A man who has ties to Jeffery Epstein and who has, at best, questionable character and ethics.
On the other side, you have a good Christian man, never divorced and by all accounts a stellar father and a decent and caring man. A man who has been a regular at mass in both his home town in Delaware and in DC.Aman who embodies the essence of what Christianity should be and while not perfect has yet to be accused of shagging a porn start, cheating on either of his wives, nor associated (even remotely) with a known/convicted pedophile.
I agree with Frank, let’s vote the Bible in ‘24. One a charlatan and one a Christian. The choice couldn’t be clearer.
