Trump Never Conventional
To the Editor:
Democrats are shocked that Republicans could win control of the White House, Senate, House of Representatives, Supreme Court, with Donald Trump at the top of the ticket. They spent four years impeaching, indicting, prosecuting, maligning and demonizing a man who refused to give up, and who ultimately staged the greatest comeback in the history of American politics. And he achieved this miracle with very little help from his own party.
Democrats prefer GOP opponents who are polite, boring, predictable, nice guys like Mitt Romney, John McCain, Bob Dole, George Bush 41. Democrats prefer running against conventional Republican candidates, but there is no way they would ever vote for them.
In the middle of the campaign, Trump was forced to appear in courtrooms in New York, Florida, Georgia, and DC. These prosecutions were purposely timed to interfere with the election. Democrats employed every possible lawfare dirty trick.
The pivotal moment of the campaign came when an assassin wounded Trump in Butler, PA, and nearly killed him. Democrats reacted by claiming that the event was “staged,” and Trump really wasn’t hit by the bullet. That was the moment when voters finally had enough. They saw that Trump was taking on the entire democrat party by himself, and voters rallied around the President.
In the future, Republicans won’t be nominating nice guys like Mike Pence. They will choose determined fighters like Donald Trump who win through sheer force of will.
