Too Much Negativity

To the Editor:

In my “opinion” there is way too much negativity being recorded and reported regarding the outcome of Nov. 5, 2024 and the inauguration date of Jan. 20, 2025. Our Commander in Chief is elected by “we the people” and certainly deserves respect. We all have opinions and with God given common sense, are capable of making decisions for our own well being. Depending on what news source is providing you information, you can be directed or misdirected. That is a personal choice.

Constantly pounding negativity is not good for any situation. The previous administration of four years with aged and longtime “politically skilled” leadership is quickly being dwarfed by two plus weeks of common sense, business minded, people minded and action minded elected individuals. It is happening so quickly that you are missing out if you are watching “the other news channels.” If one supports burning our flag in protest of this President, you are in the wrong “haven.” Continually hashing the past and not looking forward to a better future is detrimental to one’s health. God knows the accomplishments of the previous four years leaves a lot to be desired. When an aged, longtime congressman complains that his beer, guac and pizza are gonna be more expensive at SuperBowl LIX, we need help and common sense.

As a Senior Fayette County resident, I feel we all need to develop and allow positivity into our lives. Not everything should be politically charged.
