Tired Of Looking The Other Way

To the Editor:

We live during a time where what’s right is wrong and what’s wrong is right. Where what’s normal is considered abnormal and what’s abnormal is considered normal. Where the things that God celebrates the world condemns and the things that God condemns the world celebrates.

We live during a time where the blind are leading the blind. A time where the eternal truths of God are being contradicted by the temporal truths of man. What is proof of this? What evidence do I have? Because we live during a time when many mainstream outlets are supporting, and even actively encouraging the LGBTQ movement. Whether it be through the different media channels, through businesses, through our government or even through some “churches.”

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 13:6, “Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.” We, as Christians, are to love everyone but we are also called to expose what God calls an abomination to his design (Leviticus 18:22). Paul writes in Romans 1:2628, “Because of this God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even the women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty of their error. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not be done.”

How can we overlook behavior that God condemns? How can we remain silent while the masses are being led astray? What is the answer? Romans 12:2 “ Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
