Thank You Pct. 4 Crew

To the Editor:

Thank you to our Precinct 4 road crews for cleaning up after the careless humans passing through our beautiful county. Let’s all try to be more vigilant about what’s floating around in the back of our pickups waiting to become airborne litter on the roadside.

Secondly, while I applaud this crew’s hard work, whatever happened to the “old days” when we’d use our county jail occupants and community service recipients in this activity? It makes so much more sense to engage their idle hands in repayment to the county taxpayers for housing and feeding them.

Plus the fresh air and exercise along the roadways of our lovely and scenic rolling hills would provide ideal time for reflection and repentance – a win-win if I ever saw one.
