Speed Limits Should Be Enforced

To The Editor:

La Grange has speed limits east of the river bridge, 40 mph east of the bridge. Then a warning sign says begin work zone, traffic fines double. This sign blocks the view of the 30 mph sign behind it, at the La Grange Cotton Gin Store.

When I am at Latte on the Square, people drive 40-plus anyway. We need a cop with a radar gun and a cop to stop them. A wide white speed numbers should be painted on the pavement of Business 71. and, for vehicles on Highway 77 South at the railroad tracks. The tracks at Dairy Queen are badly maintained and bad for the front end of vehicles.
