Social Security Not Going Away

To the Editor:

The debate on political issues will occur until the end of time. But why do people have to make up or downright lie about things during these times?

During the Biden presidency, during the 2024 presidential campaign, and even now, almost three months after President Trump has taken office, liberal leftists are still saying Trump is going to lessen or deplete our Social Security.

Would you people please stop? If Trump was going to change Social Security for seniors in either of these ways, I’m sure he would have made a huge effort to do that already. Do you still have your Social Security? Yes. Has the amount lessened? No.

A writer in last week’s paper mentioned this again, and it is just a blatant lie. The only thing that is being done with our Social Security is Elon Musk and his staff, God bless them, are finding out who is illegally receiving social security payments. We should be elated.

I am guessing, the Trump administration will soon start eliminating unqualified recipients to receive Social Security, such as all the dead people, the people over 125 years old and illegal immigrants, to whom payments have been made to for years.

Hopefully they have already proceeded with this issue. And I understand they are also working on medicaid to see if there people receiving that who should not be. And this, is a good thing. It is nonsense and purely political to believe otherwise.

It is our money the government has been sending to these non-Americans or “dead” people and is one of the reasons Social Security is projected to be depleted in not so many years. How do you folks on Social Security feel about that? We should all be enraged, and calling our representatives about this crooked act by our government. Someone should be held accountable.

Donald Trump is not going to keep social security from the people who are eligible. But who are the people who really are receiving payments in place of dead people, or people who are 150 years old or older? Yep, Musk found people that old still receiving Social Security. These people must take “live to be really old pills.”

So you liberal leftists please stop listening to fake news and stop making up your own lies about Social Security and countless other issues. I seem to recall the one that was Russia, Russia, Russia, that went on for years.

I would love to hear from any of you in six months or a year from now to tell me that you are not getting your checks, or getting lessened amounts. Won’t happen. But some of you will still be lying of how Trump will be taking away our Social Security.

And for those of you who holler about Musk not being elected for the job he is doing on his own time with no salary to do it, remember that Kamala Harris was not elected to run as president either. Can’t be one sided as liberals would have things.
