Republican Lies

To the editor:

Most of us Fayette County residents believe that voters should pick our leaders, our leaders should not pick their voters. But MAGA Republicans will do anything to seize power, and when they fear they’ll lose, they lie and lash out.

When they lost the 2020 election, they peddled false claims, filed frivolous lawsuits, and incited violence that led to the January 6th attack on America. Now, they’re spreading lies about voting when it’s clear that only eligible Americans vote, and we have countless measures – from registration requirements to statemandated IDs to verification checks – to ensure that is the case. In America, we, the people, decide who will govern in our name – and we demand that election officials respect our freedom to cast our ballots, have them counted, and ensure the will of the people prevails.
