Proven Leader or Loose Cannon?
To the editor:
I am wondering which of the current top Democratic leadership is more mentally incompetent after listening to Kamala Harris’latest accusation against former President Trump. How is it legally or humanly possible for FEMA’s latest fiasco in handling the Hurricane Helena disaster relief efforts former President Trump’s fault? The current Administration has had close to four years to “fix” FEMA’s problems that began during the Obama administration, yet they continue to multiply. Could it possibly be because of decades-old ongoing graft and corruption within the agency itself? Just sayin’… While former President Trump may not have the most likeable personality, his proposed policies and reforms are based in sound business practices that have proven to be effective for generations for both business and the national economy. He has never claimed to be a politician. Instead he remains an astute business man who has worked tirelessly for the betterment of the people of this nation. Under his guidance as President, there were no new wars, no inflation and no gaffes or foreign policy disasters that have made us the laughing stock of the world over the past 3.5 years.
Under the Trump administration, our economy grew, national disaster recovery was treated as the highest priority over handouts to other nations and foreign leaders (friend and foe) respected, and in some instances, feared, our president. The same can’t be said for the current administration or leadership. President Biden has in effect abdicated his authority. VP Harris has successfully bypassed all legally-required vetting processes for approving a Presidential candidate and has quite possibly illegally appropriated millions of dollars in campaign donations specifically earmarked for President Biden, with help from the DNC and no questions asked. What about those donors who put their faith in a sitting president? Were they consulted about where and how their money was being used to support an unproven and unvetted candidate they never chose? Does anyone else smell a skunk?
As we draw ever closer to the actual election, it becomes even more vitally important that we each look closely at what each candidate is actually proposing, rather than at what the pundits are saying. We also need to ask ourselves which candidate is in truth looking out for the welfare and safety of us, the constituents. The hard question is that after looking at the uninterpreted, unvarnished facts concerning each candidate’s plan for our future, who do I see as the leader who will make my life, the life of my family and the life of our nation better over the next four years? We are each responsible for answering that question honestly before we cast a vote just a few Tuesdays from now.
I know who I am voting for because I have watched the man continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes ever since he left office to ensure that we the people and our freedoms are protected. Many years ago, I took an oath to defend and protect our Constitution and it’s guaranteed rights from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Watching from the sidelines, I am deathly afraid that Mr. Trump’s opponent does not understand or agree with that oath, just based on the little substantive information available concerning her political views and her plans for our future. So I urge you to look to the sources, think prayerfully and vote not for a candidate but for the ideologies of our Constitution and our forefathers and mothers (yes, women had a say, if not a vote, even in Colonial days). Then ask yourself, do you want a proven leader or a loose cannon? The winning candidate can only follow the will of the people, so cast your vote wisely.
