Prove Your Worth

To the editor:

Being named La Grange’s Community Activist of 2023 is very important to me. We need to discuss and bring attention to matters that we ALL pay for through taxes.

I will give our new city manager, Jack Thompson, a chance to prove his worth. Since he is receiving a whopping $185,000 (which was the maximum available) all citizens should be aware of and utilize his skills by attending bimonthly City Council meetings with me and also set up meetings with him to discuss all of their concerns.

We know our Fire Chief, Chief of Police, and ALL city workers do an EXCELLENT job, while not receiving maximum salaries, and I applaud them for their work. Let’s allow Mr. Thompson two months to deal with drainage and other city concerns.
