Protect Our Freedoms, Families, and Futures

To the editor:

Across races and places, Fayette County residents, Texans, and Americans value our freedoms, work hard for our families, and imagine a better future.

But the MAGA Republicans running our US House of Representatives want to take away our freedoms, threaten Social Security, and hand kickbacks to their donors, and they know they need to remove President Biden from office or defeat him in 2024 to do it. The MAGA Republicans who supported overthrowing the will of the voters with violence on January 6 are attempting to overthrow the will of the voters with their sham inquiry into President Biden.

These same MAGA Republicans really want to overthrow the will of the people so they can rule for the wealthy few and command and control the rest of us. MAGA Republicans have proven they want to take away healthcare, women’s reproductive rights, voting rights, public school funding, and jobs.

By coming together and voting, as we have before, we will once again defeat these MAGA Republicans, and elect leaders who will protect our freedoms, families, and futures.
