Partisan Attack

To the Editor:

President Trump is currently being indicted by highly partisan Democratic prosecutors in courts around the country. The prosecutors could have indicted Trump back in 2021 when he left office, but they purposefully waited until an election year for maximum political impact. Such political prosecutions are common in banana republics, where former presidents are pursued by the new ruling regime.

The Supreme Court will eventually decide whether a president can be indicted over political activity by partisan prosecutors. There are six Supreme Court justices who have experience with being hounded by Democratic partisans. They might look forward to an opportunity to rule on the judiciary being weaponized to attack political opponents.
