No Quality Candidates

To the editor:

I used to enjoy the Opinion Section of The Fayette County Record, but as of late it has become one more source of contention between the two major candidates. Each article goes to great length to describe the opposing candidate as an evil that will pass over this great country if elected.

If truth be known to the writers of these opinions most voters have already chosen whom they will vote for come November. All the rhetoric in the world will not change the minds of people once they make up their minds. If anything, most voters are not looking for that one aspect that will change their opinion of someone. I for one am not going to cast my vote based on current verbiage disparaging any candidate.

I think it is a shame that a country of this size should only have a few candidates to chose from. If a quality candidate came forward and was someone that would be looking out for this country they would most certainly gain my vote. But alas, we have none and that is an awful truth. I look to the future in hopes that a candidate will emerge to lead this country out of its current state.
